Skin Types
Lots of clients ask us about the effectiveness of Intense Pulsed Light treatments. And the answer is it depends primarily on the colour of your hair and the pigmentation of your skin.
What skin type are you?
With a standardised system for identifying your skin type (also known as phototypes), you should be able to recognise your own phototype. We'll be able to confirm your skin type as part of our thorough consultation process.

Intense Pulsed Light treatment has been proven effective on all skin types with the exception of the darkest skin type (Type 6).
We'll always undertake a free test for new clients on a small area of skin to check the suitability of your skin. Evidence tells us that, Intense Pulsed Light treatment provides quicker results the lighter the skin and the darker the hair.
